Team 10 was a Los Angeles social media collective founded by YouTuber Jake Paul in August 2016. The group lived in a mansion where they created content for their social media channels. The collective became inactive in September 2019, with most members leaving to pursue solo careers. The original members included Jake Paul, Alissa Violet, Neels Visser, Alex Lange, AJ Mitchell, and the Dobre twins.

Who Founded Team 10 and When Did It Start?

Jake Paul started Team 10 on August 5, 2016, as a social media company and talent incubator aimed at creating content for teens and young adults. He was a former Vine star who wanted to build something bigger.

Paul raised $1 million for the Team 10 project in early 2017. His goal was simple: find young content creators with small followings, bring them to Los Angeles, and help them grow their social media presence. Paul compared his vision to Dr. Dre’s work in the music industry, saying he wanted to be the “Dr. Dre of social media”. The squad lived together in a house in LA where they filmed videos, pulled pranks, and built their brands. This influencer collective model would later inspire similar groups on YouTube and TikTok.

Who Were the Original Team 10 Members?

The founding members were Alissa Violet, Neels Visser, Alex Lange, twins Lucas and Marcus Dobre, Nick Crompton, and AJ Mitchell. Jake Paul led the group as founder.

These YouTubers moved into the Team 10 house in Los Angeles. Their first YouTube video, titled “What is Team 10?”, went live on August 6, 2016, and received over a million views. Each member had their own social media channels but also appeared in group content. The house became known for constant filming, pranks, and parties. Popular couples formed within the group, including Chance Sutton and Tessa Brooks (nicknamed Chessa) and Jake Paul with Erika Costell (Jerika). Over 30 content creators joined at various points, including Tana Mongeau, Tessa Brooks, Erika Costell, and the Martinez twins.

Why Did So Many Members Leave Team 10?

Most original members left between 2017 and 2019 due to reported conflicts, contract disputes, and creative differences with Jake Paul. The turnover was constant and dramatic, with departures happening in waves.

Alissa Violet left in February 2017 after a public breakup with Jake Paul. She claimed she was kicked out and left homeless, later posting a detailed video about alleged manipulation and strict rules. The Martinez twins, Ivan and Emilio, left in November 2017, saying they experienced bullying and were laughed at for not speaking English well. They also claimed Jake discouraged them from learning English and used racist terms. Nick Crompton announced his departure in May 2018, citing disagreements with internal business changes. Tessa Brooks left on New Year’s Day 2018, and Alex Lange departed in December 2017.

What Happened to the Team 10 House?

The FBI raided Jake Paul’s Calabasas home (which served as the Team 10 house) in August 2020. By that time, most roster members had already left. Jake Paul eventually sold the house and moved to focus on his boxing career. The mansion, which once symbolized the collaborative space where creators lived and worked, became a symbol of the group’s turbulent history.

What Is Jake Paul Doing Now?

Jake Paul is now a professional boxer and was ranked among Forbes’ highest-paid creators in 2025 with estimated earnings of $50 million in 2024. He shifted away from YouTube drama to focus on boxing.

Paul defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson via unanimous decision in November 2024 in a match that became the biggest boxing gate in U.S. history outside of Las Vegas. He also fought Julio César Chávez Jr. in June 2025, winning by unanimous decision. His YouTube channel still has over 20 million subscribers. While he still posts content, his focus has clearly moved from social media houses to professional fighting. This represents a complete shift from his role as the founder and leader of Team 10 Members.

Where Are the Original Team 10 Members Now?

Most former members built successful careers after leaving. Here’s what happened to the core group:

Alissa Violet continued as a YouTuber and Instagram star with over 12 million Instagram followers and more than 3 million YouTube subscribers. She has worked with brands like REVOLVE and Oh Polly. She also appeared on a game show in 2025.

Neels Visser left in 2017 to become a model and has worked with major brands including American Eagle, Maybelline, and Dolce & Gabbana. He also founded an online clothing website called Living Regal and is an aspiring DJ and actor.

Alex Lange left in December 2017 to pursue acting and has appeared in shows including Why Women Kill, The Unsettling, and Light as a Feather. AJ Mitchell, the singer, also left to focus on his music career and has released songs like One More Fight and Camera On. Nick Crompton, who was Chief Operations Officer of Team 10, co-founded the internet agency Social Chain after leaving. Chance Sutton left in May 2018 and had an estimated net worth of $2 million as of April 2024.

Did Team 10 Try to Make a Comeback?

Jake Paul attempted to revamp Team 10 in 2020 with new members but the effort never gained traction. The group’s social media accounts have been silent since 2019.

In June 2020, Jake announced he was looking for new roommates and selected applicants including Airrack, Tucker Doss, Elle Danjean, and Kaylyn Slevin. He told Business Insider he was waiting for “the right moment” for Team 10 to reemerge with a new squad. However, that moment never came. The Team 10 YouTube channel has remained inactive, and Jake moved his content to his personal channel instead. This marked the end of the talent management agency model that once defined the group.

What Was Team 10’s Business Model?

Team 10 operated as a social media talent label and management company that housed members in a shared space to create content. The model was designed to grow creators quickly through collaboration and shared resources.

The incubator made money through YouTube ad revenue, brand deals, merchandise sales, and sponsored content. Former members like Chance Sutton accumulated a net worth of over $2 million, while Anthony Trujillo reached $1.5 million. The Team 10 YouTube channel earned more than 2.4 million subscribers. The influencer house model that Team 10 Members helped popularize would later inspire similar groups on YouTube and TikTok. However, the constant drama and member turnover ultimately made the business unsustainable. The group was even a Shorty Award nominee for YouTube Ensemble, showing its industry recognition before the dissolution.

Key Points About Team 10 Members:

  1. Original lineup: Jake Paul founded the group in 2016 with six other young creators who lived together in LA as a collaborative unit.
  2. High turnover: Most original members left within two years due to conflicts and business disputes, with exits continuing through 2019.
  3. Where they are now: Former members went on to successful careers in modeling, social media, and business as individual creators.
  4. Group status: Team 10 became inactive in 2019 and never successfully relaunched despite attempts, marking its disbandment.
  5. Founder’s shift: Jake Paul moved from YouTube drama to professional boxing, earning $50 million in 2024 as a solo performer rather than group leader.
